Galentineās day: a day for female friends to get together and celebrate their love for each otherā¦what could be more wholesome than that?! My friends and I have celebrated Galentineās Day a couple of times over the last few years and itās been so nice.
Whether you have a significant other or not, celebrating the love between friends is such a great reason to come together.
If you plan on hosting a Galentineās Day event this year, read on for all the best Galentineās inspiration and ideas, from decorations to invitations to food, drinks, and party games.
Galentine’s Party Decorations
Of course you canāt have a Galentineās Day party without the proper Valentineās decor. You can stick with traditional Valentineās Day decorations or you can go the extra step and get Galentine-specific stuff! Both Etsy and Amazon have some really fun options for decor. Here are some of my favorites:
Hang this cute heart shaped felt garland at the entrance of your party.
Assemble this awesome balloon garland kit for an extra special backdrop.
Display this “Girl Gang” Balloon Banner for some funny photo opportunities.
String up this “Happy Galentine’s Day” Banner for a dainty addition to your party decor.
Invitations and Favors
If you want to get real fancy with this year’s Galentine’s party, consider sending out invitations to your best girl friends. Party favors also add a special and fun element to any party. Below are my top picks for Galentine’s party invites and favors. The funky sunglasses are destined to be a hit.
This cute invitation includes a sweet poem for your girl friends.
This pretty minimalist invitation is perfect for spreading word of your party.
Trust me…Your guests will have so much fun wearing these super fun and funky multicolored sunglasses.
Cover up your normal wine label with this super cute “Lookin’ fine Galentine” wine label.
These fun “Galentine’s Squad” cups will definitely add to the festive atmosphere.
Galentine’s Party Food
Okay now for the really fun part. What’s a party without delicious appetizers and desserts to graze on throughout the night? There are lots of ways to make a dish Valentine’s-themed, whether it’s the color, the shape, or the toppings. Here are some of my favorite ideas for Galentine’s-themed snacks and sweet treats.
These Valentine’s charcuterie boards are some of the prettiest food creations I’ve encountered. I can’t wait to make one myself. Check these out…
You can make this heart-shaped charcuterie board by repurposing a cardboard chocolate box from the store. How genius is that??
This next charcuterie board from the blog Baked Bree includes beautiful roses made out of salami and bay leaves, as well as something called peanut-butter balls. Yum.
These Valentine’s chocolate-dipped pretzel rods are adorable, fun and look so delicious.
Your guests won’t be able to resist these lovely heart-shaped chocolate-dipped strawberries. So cute!
Galentine’s Cocktails
These delicious Valentine’s mixed drinks will make your gathering extra special. I’m particularly excited to try the Dirty Shirley and the Bloody Valentine.
First up is a drink called Love Potion Number 9 and it’s made with gin, simple syrup, lemon juice, pomegranate juice, and egg whites (yes– egg whites–it’s a thing!).
Next up is a Raspberry and Chocolate Valentine Cocktail and it’s more of a dessert drink. The drink includes fresh raspberries, raspberry liqueur, half and half, vodka, and white chocolate liqueur. My mouth is watering.
Another dessert drink that sounds absolutely delicious is a Raspberry Champagne Float. This super simple drink is made by combining champagne and raspberry sherbet.
Next up is the Dirty Shirley made with vodka, cherry liquor, grenadine, soda water, and of course cherries.
The last cocktail on this list has the best name, the Bloody Valentine. This beautiful mixed drink is made with Italian amaro, sweet vermouth, and blood orange juice.
Games for Galentine’s
The last category in this post is Galentine’s party games. Group games make a party so much more fun and memorable. Below are two party games that are bound to lead to good times and laughter among your girl friends.
For the Girls is an adult party game brought to you by the creators of What Do You Meme? With 500 cards in the deck, there’s lots of opportunity for fun.
That’s What She Said is another adults-only party game which involves lots of “that’s what she said” phrases. The game has tons of 5 star reviews and seems really funny!
Well, there you go. Tons of ideas for hosting this year’s Galentine’s Party, all in one place. I hope this post was helpful for you in planning your Galentine’s Day festivities. I know I’m excited to celebrate with my closest girl friends. Have fun and enjoy!
Love this! In a world limited to few and far between gatherings, might as well make them extra special! Definitely gonna make dirty shirleys with my girls! Lol

I love the idea of Galentine’s Day! I don’t have gal pals to share this with, but I can see myself doing this with the gals in my family. I also like the charcuterie boards.
Yes, family gals are the best galentines!
Okay, so I obviously need to throw a party, just so I can play the adult games! These look awesome <3

The heart shaped charcuterie board has my heart! So many great decor and food items here, I’m definitely going to incorporate some into the party I’m throwing next week. It will be my first time hosting a Galentines party and I’m trying to go all out (even asked my husband if we could get the floors refinished for the occasion)! Thanks for the inspo!
Thanks for your comment Erica! I’m so glad this post was helpful for you. I love playing the host myself, so I always enjoy seeing and sharing new ideas! Hope your party was a blast š
